Welcome to JISA Campion
JISA Campion acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation who are the traditional custodians of this land and we pay our respect to the elders both past and present.
We are a community of welcome and prayer. Our team of Ignatian Spiritual Directors offer programs and retreats, which are steeped in the spirituality of Saint Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556).
Ignatian Spirituality is about finding God in all things. This enables us to find purpose, meaning, light and joy in everything that crosses our path of life. Relationships, events, my feelings, what happens to me are all vehicles for God to lead me towards a richer life.
Campion began in 1978 with the goal of offering directed retreats and ‘themed’ retreats based on the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556). It has grown since then and now offers a diversity of programs:
- Full Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life
- Individual Spiritual Direction
- Pastoral Supervision
- Silent Directed Retreats
- The First Spiritual Exercises
- Themed Retreats
- Prayer/Reflection Days
Ignatian Spirituality helps you in building a personal relationship with Jesus. It includes intimate dialogue with Christ and reflections on how God is present in your daily life. At Campion, you are invited to deepen your ability to discern the way God speaks to you, to hear God’s voice in the depths of your heart and life.
JISA Campion has individual spiritual direction rooms and a beautiful library/meeting room for groups and communities to meet, pray and retreat.
Our gardens provide opportunities to rest, to reflect on the seasons of creation and to delight in God’s beauty.
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol symbolising wholeness.
Walking the labyrinth enables you to quieten your mind through contemplation and prayer. Begin on the outside and weave your way inwards, while reflecting on each step and turn, as you trace the “Way of Ignatius.”
WE COME TO YOU
Our JISA Campion Outreach Teams are available to work in your parish, school, community, or organisation. We can come to you wherever you are located and help build up the prayer life and spirituality of your community.
Experienced Spiritual Directors will work closely with you in developing a program what will allow participants to deepen their personal prayer life and relationship with God, whether they be prayer days, retreats, spirituality programs and Spiritual Direction.
For more information, please contact JISA Campion’s director Fr Michael Ryan SJ via telephone 1300 392 636.
