How do I know when God is speaking to me? Discerning the voice of God
In this weekend retreat, you will experience silence and forms of prayer used in Ignatian Spirituality as tools to help you get in touch with the depths of your being, and the movement of spirits within, in order to help you discern what God may be asking of you. You will be introduced to Ignatian Rules for Discernment of spirits.
Each day will begin with group prayer and a presentation relevant to that day’s prayer. On Friday night the retreat begins with an Examen to open a Retreat and each day will finish with the Daily Examen.
Prayer forms will include Lectio Divina, Imaginative Contemplation, meditation, journaling and conversation. Conversation includes group listening and sharing in groups of around five people, depending on numbers, and the groups will be facilitated by a spiritual director. All leaders on this retreat are experienced Spiritual Directors in the Ignatian tradition.
