A Pilgrimage Day at Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island)
You are invited to step aside from the hectic pace of life and enjoy a contemplative day on Minjerribah, (North Stradbroke Island.) This guided pilgrimage day is a perfect opportunity to be refreshed and revived both physically and spiritually.
In the tranquil beauty of the Island, known by the traditional owners of the land, the Quandamooke people, as Minjerribah, we will spend some quiet time with silent walks and reflections. The experience of the beauty of the ocean, lakes, and the natural vegetation of the Island, invite a special connection with our inner selves and the mystery we call God. As Anthony de Mello SJ writes,
“Any route to God has to be a route toward silence. If you want to reach union with God someday, you must begin with silence.”
