A Contemplative Walk to Awaken Awe
This is an opportunity for you to spend some reflective time walking in silence within Nature. Setting out in silence on a contemplative walk gives us the opportunity to be open and attentive to the sights, sounds, touch and fragrances of the woodlands around us. Distractions recede and the present moment is wonderful – enabling us to reflect and just simply ‘be’.
Quiet moments can bring a special connection with our inner selves and with the mystery we call God.
‘Any route to God has to be a route toward silence. If you want to reach union with God someday, you must begin with silence’. (Anthony de Mello, Walking on Water, p.10).
