IM23 Reflection: I am a Tree of Life

IM23 Reflection: I am a Tree of Life

The works of your hands, declare your glory, O God.

As I pondered the questions which came with the invitation to discover the wonder of being a Tree of Life, my response was a resounding YES! I wanted to deepen my spiritual roots; I wanted to make better decisions at the branches of my life; and I certainly wanted to turn the Light of God into spiritual energy.

The graces that flowed from the reflections, images, scripture readings and prayers over the four days of IM23, the online international convocation, were a feast for the soul!

The wonder and awe which touched my heart and mind as I engaged in each of the spiritual exercises certainly deepened my spiritual roots. The insights shared during the spiritual conversations and chat room added to the richness of the experience and gave evidence of a transformation of consciousness and a desire to “Be still and know that I am God” in the breathtaking beauty of nature.

A special thanks to Michael Hansen SJ and the team who put this creative and life-giving program together, and to all who engaged and accepted the invitation to help our spiritual growth to flower in beautiful ways, to be more fruitful and to have a spirituality for all seasons.

Recordings and resources of the full IM23 I am a Tree of Life program will be available in the JISA shop very soon.
